DESCRIPTION:The Fraternal Order of Police Laurel Lodge #2 will hold its annual Mardi Gras parade in beautiful downtown Laurel on Saturday\, February 22nd.\n\n\n\nThe parade\, sponsored by the Bok Homa Casino\, will roll at 6:00pm following the traditional parade route through downtown Laurel.\n\n\n\n"We are excited to once again bring the fun and festive FOP Mardi Gras parade to Laurel\," notes FOP Laurel Lodge #2 President Brad Anderson.\n\n\n\nAnderson adds\, "Proceeds benefit the charitable work of the Fraternal Order of Police Laurel Lodge #2 including our 'Shop With A Cop' event at Christmas for underprivileged children. The proceeds also provide financial assistance for law enforcement officers injured in the line of duty."\n\n\n\nThe entry fee is $150 per judged float and $50 per vehicle for general entry. Line-up is at 5:30pm and the parade rolls at 6:00pm. Applications can be picked up at the Laurel Police Department at 317 South Magnolia Street or Jones County Sheriff's Department at 419 Yates Avenue\, both in Laurel.\n\n\n\nCome join in the fun of the FOP Mardi Gras parade on Saturday\, February 22nd at 6:00pm in downtown Laurel and catch some beads!
